Get More People To Look At Your Home
Selling a home in today's marketplace is definitely not the easiest thing to do.
It takes plenty of time and effort for every party involved with the transaction.
There are so many homes for sale on the market that home sellers need to try their hardest to get people to notice their home.
Because if there are no potential buyers looking at your home, then there will be no one to buy it at the end.
If you are looking to sell your home you must get people there as the first step!
A recent article by Elizabeth Weintraub of about.com, "Ten ways to increase traffic and showings," discusses some ways to attract potential buyers to your property that is on the market.
"Little is more fruitless when selling than staring at a phone that does not ring, except maybe watching agents and buyers strolling into the home for sale down the block and simply wishing they were looking at yours instead."
"To increase traffic and showings to your home, you've got to implement a hard-hitting plan of action that guarantees to generate showings. Especially in a buyer's market. You can't wait for buyers to decide whether your home might be worth viewing. You need them inside. Now."
First things first, and before you do anything make sure your home is listed for the most accurate and fair price possible. Once you have that done, it is time to start bringin' in the buyers.
The first thing you need to do is make your home easy and convenient to look at and show. If you have guidelines and restrictions on the hours to show your home, you will probably garner less attention than the house down the block with flexible viewing hours.
Next, you should advertise your home as aggressively possible. Do not leave any marketing source untouched. If you are unfamiliar with the Internet have you teenaged neighbor give you a tutorial, because you are definitely going to need it.
"Think about your target audience. Bump up marketing. Send direct-mail postcards to all surrounding homes and to areas that attract buyers to your neighborhood. Advertise in local weekly newspapers. Advertise in several sections of your daily newspaper on the weekends. It's not enough to advertise solely under the neighborhood classification. Look at directories and photo galleries."
"Advertise online at Craig's List, Google, Trulia and other free online subscriptions. If you have enough time to meet publication deadlines, consider home magazines. Take a home video and put it on You Tube."
If all else fails, you can always offer incentives to potential buyers such as a weekend getaway or even a car lease.
In today's market, the more creative you become, the better the chance of a fast, smooth and successful home sale transaction.
